Jurong Eco-Garden is the “green lungs” of CleanTech Park.
It's a place of respite for working community within the business park, the residential community in the vicinity and the natural wildlife that make up the unique ecology of the site.
The garden is located behind NTU and it is a little inaccessible. Only bus service 199 reaches this destination. There are 3 parts to the garden. The observatory ramp, the plaza and the jungle trails which is currently under construction.
On the way to the observatory ramp, there's this exhibition that looks like ant's nest. The view at the ramp was kind of disappointing. It doesn't gives me the 'WOW' feel! It's just a bunch of buildings and tress.
Following the path of rocks, we passed by a ceramics shophouse which sells quite a number of pots, statues. Right beside it is a 'lurking' lake. This area is mosquito infested. Apply your repellents if you do not want to get bitten. After a short walk, we reached the Plaza. This is where the fitness corners, education exhibitions and much more beautiful scenery is located.
We ran into quite a number of creepy crawlies in the garden. There's this ground filled with yellow millipedes weaving in and out from under the dried leaves. There's a flower which attracted lots of bugs. Of course there are much more pleasant things like flowers, flowers and more flowers.
Enjoy the photos folks!
