Lunar New Year 2015 is over! That's one of my busiest period of the year; Be it work or personal.
We've moved over to Benoi for sometime and I've got a brand new desk. Super loving it! Did my spring cleaning at home and in office as well. I was well prepared to usher in the goat year.
I have always dream of getting my own house and to me, festive keeps things moving and brings me out of the dull ordinary robotic life. Since I've got my little corner in office, I decided to decorate it with the "red papers". That's my half completed 五福临门. “五福帖门” seems more suitable HAHA!
A day before CNY eve, my feast has already started! My colleagues and I went for I'm Kim Korean BBQ. Food's not too bad and we were near the state of "unwalkable". (Nah~ exaggerating as usual)
Here are the 5 steam boats I've had over the CNY period! The family reunion dinner is the most sumptuous one, followed by the one at Grand aunt's house. (Preview not available! We had crab meat pasta, abalone, scallops, 7 coloured cakes etc.)
Then on day 2 of CNY, we finished the remaining ingredients left. On the 3rd day of CNY, had one at my aunt's place followed by a final one with my other bunch of colleagues on the last day of CNY.
The above photos are "special" ingredients that My family would eat only during CNY! Hokkaido crabs and crayfishes! I miss squids! They are one of my favorites too.
Next, I had a couple of lunar new year celebration events at work and also house visitings to attend among my close clicks. And of course, reserved a little me time to shoot at Hong Bao River.
Of course with so many events on the line, Lou Hei and would not be missed! I had one of the roughest Lou Hei this year! Haha! Our vegetables and "gold" (the crackers are referred as gold) are all over the table. Thank god none is stuck on the celling. This year, I've seen a couple of Lion dance performances all thanks to my company!
At the 9th day of the Lunar New Year, Taoists prays to Tian Gong. So, I followed my dad's footsteps, accompanied and helped him out a little during this process.
While I was capturing the moment of offering the incense, I was amazed by the photo I've taken! The end of the flame resembles the head of a rising dragon. HUAT AR!
That all explains why I'm blogging so late! Sorry folks! It's a little too late but I wish you guys out there, have a smooth sailing year ahead with good health and being happy always!
