Time files! We just welcomed year 2016 and now, Chinese New Year 2016 is over!
Each year, I would put effort to visit Chinatown and take shots of the CNY decorations. This year, I've dragged my colleague Albert along. We planned on reaching at 1930 but due to work, I was held back and we reached there around 8. (sorry Albert!)
It's pretty close to new year around that time and Chinatown was packed with locals doing last minute CNY shopping. Tourists were enjoying the festive mood!
The streets were filled with shoutings of hawkers selling their products. Cured meat, seeds and nuts, jellies, tarts, sweets, lanterns, chun lian and more! These are the things that signify CNY and some are believed to bring good fortune, longevity and foster better family ties.
Last but not least, we have our favourites during CNY, Bakkwa (Chinese salty-sweet dried meat product similar to jerky) The stall with the huge lighting on the right hand side of the photo is Bee Chiang Hiang, a popular Bakkwa company in Singapore.
I've been busy with.. *not sure what I've been doing all along. Well, it's time getting back to exploring Singapore and sticking to my Body Combat sessions (which I started thanks to my wonderful colleagues), more runs and workouts!
Enjoy folks~
