Marina South Pier

I recently noticed that we have a new MRT station called Marina South Pier. Therefore, a few weeks ago, I went there with Ocean.

Marina South Pier is the southern terminal station of the North South Line in Singapore. This station is built as part of the North South Line Extension opened on 23 November 2014.

I took Exit A from Marina South Pier and this leads you down 600m of sheltered walkway before reaching Marina Bay Cruise Centre. You could see the cranes from PSA at the far end.

As it was too far, I swung left towards Marina South Pier. This pier is used as a terminal for tourists and day trippers who are boarding small boats and ferries heading for the Southern Islands

The scenery is beautiful. You could have a better view at the 2nd level. Here you could see distant ships cruising across the sea and also small boats dropping by at the pier. You could feel the strong breeze and occasionally smell the soot discharged from the boats.

I spent some time around the pier hunting for my prize shot and I got these:

This Singapore flag fluttering proudly against the distant busy port of Singapore and above Marina South Pier MRT Station.

There's this guy who sits down in a cool manner and listens to his music on a mp3 player. He makes an interesting subject and I love the repetitive pattern made by the poles up in the ceiling.

Last but not least, I went over to Singapore Flyer in hope to grab some shots. However, I was there too late due to the long waiting time of the trains. Fortunately, I managed to shoot the below photo - They're having a photo shoot but I'm shooting them having a photo shoot.

Enjoy folks~
