My colleagues and I were roaming Holland Village while we came across Nakhon Kitchen.
The queue of Nakhon Kitchen is exceptionally longer. We took a quick glance of the menu and the prices are reasonable (In fact cheaper than most stalls around that area). We queued for a while before realizing one of us does not take spicy food! So we left and I told myself I got to try Nakhon Kitchen.
So last weekend, met up with my 4 buddies for a meal at Nakhon Kitchen. We got there early to minimize the waiting time. Ordering is done while waiting for a table. Not long after we were seated, drinks were served followed by the utensils and mains.
We ordered 7 dishes, Pineapple fried rice, pad thai, clear tom yum soup, prawn paste cake, green curry, basil chicken and glass noodles (too engross in dining and forgotten to take a pic of it). Food was awesome~ly nice and well-cooked.
As I anticipated. The dishes are spicier! (I have no problem with the heat. In fact I love it). I'm so missing pad thai. These brings back memories when I was in Bangkok. I shall visit Bangkok again someday :)
The prawn paste cakes? Or whatever it's called is so good! I love the taste of it. It's fried golden brown with the paste inside it; Crispy on the outside, melts in the inside. Caution! The cakes are very hot so take small bites to avoid burning your mouth.
I'm really not a fan of green curry. They added some kind of herbs or leaves and I kept eating them. They have a strong mint aftertaste. We should have white rice to go with green curry and tom yum soup though.
Do try out Nakhon Kitchen folks! The bill totals up to $60. We had 7 dishes and 4 drinks! Enjoy =)
